These are the top-of-the-line ZuluSCSI drives that come in a variety of form factors and models; external cases, internal trays designed to fit your sampler/host along with custom SCSI cables, and a innovative Mini model that simply plugs into your sampler/hosts SCSI port.
ZuluSCSI uses an SD cards, and many sampler/hosts do not require external power.
The wonderful aspect of ZuluSCSI is the ability to access multiple SCSI ID's; so it's really many drives in one unit! This enables much more efficient use of the SD card - more efficient, faster access - but also... What makes ZuluSCSI the leading edge of SCSI SD card technology is that it uses disk iamges as the SCSI data source, and stores them on a normal exFAT/FAT32-formatted SD card. This takes out most of the proprietary parts of the technology, makinn it far easier to use in conjuction with a computer. ZuluSCSI is also very well designed and made by experts in their fields; and not by volunteers and web-organized amatuer projects.
As was said before, most samplers/hosts provide power via the SCSI cable/port. But if yours doesn't, ZuluSCSI can be powered via the back of the unit (external), or a 4-pin BERG in the back (internal), or the USB port (Plug-In Drive).
And they aren't done yet! ZuluSCSI also comes in single-space rack-mountable form with up to THREE ZuluSCSI Internal installed! This is for power users, for use in racks for up to THREE vitnage SCSI samplers/hosts.
Compatibility
SamplerZone's ZuluSCSI Drives work with EVERY SINGLE SAMPLER we know of (which is all of them).
All Ensoniq, Akai, Akai MPC, Roland, Emu, Ensoniq, Kurzweil, Korg, Peavey, Synclavier, Fairlight, Waveframe samplers.
We don't provide a list because we haven't found a sampler it DOESN'T work on.
IMPORTANT NOTE: SamplerZone recommends ZuluSCSI for proprietary file system samplers/hosts (though it can be used for anything). For use with computer-compliant hosts (e.g. Samplers: Akai S5000, Emu 4 EOS 4.7, others... DAW: Roland VS-2480, Akai DPS24, others...), get the SCSI2SD v6.0 if there's one available. DAW's usually require the SCSI2SD v6.0 for performances reasons.
All ZuluSCSI Drives come with a standard 1-year warranty, case color, what images the included SD card uses, and your choice of SCSI connecting cable.
